American Sign Language (ASL) is my passion, and I love empowering others to communicate visually. We can craft a lesson plan to meet YOUR goals; I've developed three levels of ASL curricula and am also experienced with existing textbooks, if you prefer that approach. With six years of experience teaching, tutoring, and offering private lessons in ASL, I'll be able to tailor lessons to YOUR unique background and learning style.

Nice to meet you!  I'm a New York State certified teacher and have experience teaching full-time at the high school and college/graduate levels, as well as experience tutoring students ages 10 through 56.  

My specialty is teaching American Sign Language as a foreign language. I am a certified instructor of ASL with an M.A. in Teaching ASL as a Foreign Language and B.A. in Linguistics with a focus on sign languages. Seven years experience teaching, tutoring, and offering private lessons in ASL.

Meredith is an excellent teacher. She is very detail oriented and clear in her signing. She will tailor the lessons to meet your needs or start you from the beginnings if need be.  She also communicates her current and future lesson plans and homework very clearly and uses Google Documents so you can look over what you have worked on and what your homework is - this is very helpful.
