I am Maya. A photographer and film director. I started out as a teenager with a camera, and then became a military photographer when I finished high school. During my service I have gathered plenty of experience in very technically challenging situations. After my service I proceeded to a BFA in photography and art and I’m about to start my MFA in photography in Hunter’s studio MFA program in NYC. I’ve been teaching my craft since 2008 in various facilities abroad and recently moved to NYC permanently. I love teaching photography. It is in my heart and soul, and I am known as a very devoted teacher by my students. My camera has taken me very far, All the way up to the frozen lake Baikal in Siberia for my recent project. I will cover all technical needs and subjects, and I can guarantee you will know everything there is to know about your camera and how to achieve your best results. In addition- I can also promise to enrich you with art and photography history, to whichever extent you’ll want. Let’s have fun together and begin your exciting journey!
