My sewing lessons are: • Lesson #1: Going to Joanne and getting the required materials and learning about the different type of fabrics. Also buying pattern and a good cutting scissor. • Lesson 2 Practice threading a sewing machine and practice sewing a straight line. • Lesson #3: Topstitching and linings o Explain why a project might be lined like bags and pouches. This project will also help them learn how to topstitch. • Lesson #4: Simple Hand Sewing o Students will learn how to hand sew a slipstitch which is perfect for closing off pillows and hemming skirts. • Lesson #5: Working on a pattern for making a dress or skirt. • Lesson #6: How to sew a zipper. • Lesson #7: How to make a casing. • Lesson #8: How to sew gather. • Lesson #9 & #10: Practice and do work on the creative work you want to work on.
