I am a skilled, enthusiast, accessible and caring professional with only one goal in mind: to create a good atmosphere for learning and self-expression where all of my students can thrive and succeed. I was born in Curitiba, Parana, but grew up in São Paulo. I attended the University of Sao Paulo ( USP) and earned a Degree in Linguistics and Teaching Education. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2006, I started my language studies at Jacksonville Community College and after University of North Florida. While working as an ESOL Paraprofessional for three years for Florida Public Schools, I obtained my teaching certificate in ESOL and Portuguese as a Foreign Language. I worked as an ESOL teacher for elementary and middle Schools, and later, Portuguese as a foreign language for secondary education. In 2008 I moved to New York City where I taught Portuguese for adults at Baruch College and University of New York.
