Hi,there! My name is Marcia and I am really excited to meet you. I've been teaching ESL since 1990, Brazilian Portuguese since 2001 and TOEIC preparation since 2006. I have loved helping my students master English as a Second Language grammar, vocabulary, and conversation. It is thrilling to see my students accomplish their goals when they are able to converse, read, and write in their target language,and when they improve their comprehension and pronunciation skills. My academic background is one hundred percent language oriented. I am a translator for Brazilian Portuguese but have worked as a teacher since I graduated because teaching is my passion and learning is my passion. I am a very enthusiastic teacher and I have been voted the best teacher of the year virtually every year. I use a communicative approach and my goal is to keep the teacher-student talk time respectively at a 30% and 70% ratio. I can't wait for the opportunity to help you reach your linguistic goal.
