Mabuhay! My name is Lou. I'm a teacher from the Philippines and now living in the USA. In the Philippines, I taught general subjects in public school and one of them is Filipino. I also worked as a private tutor in nearby areas. Currently, I offer Tagalog lessons to people who want to learn and understand the language more comprehensively. Tagalog is the basis of Filipino, the standardized national language of the Philippines. Whenever I have free time, I work on my cross stitch, embroidery or sewing projects. I have done several big and small ones in the past as gifts for family/friends. Occasionally, I accept commissions from people. This opportunity helps me support the education of the kids in my family. Handicrafts helped me become more creative and independent in life. When I'm not busy teaching, I spend most of my day gardening, and admiring the flowers and vegetables I grow. I enjoy cooking delicious meals for me and my husband. Playing with our dogs is my daily exercise.
