Spanish with Lisa S.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language with first-class honors from the University of the West Indies. What sets me apart from the crowd is my professional training in Castellano; Standard Spanish. I am a lover of all things Spanish. I incorporate the whole culture into my classes for a more REAL and LIVE experience. I enjoy speaking the Spanish language. However, the one thing that I enjoy just as much as speaking it, is sharing this passion for Hispanic language and culture with others. This passion makes me a very fun and captivating teacher, which is essential when introducing something as potentially daunting as a new language. This passion for the Spanish language and culture consumed me, to the point of engaging in studies for 10 years; seven years of high school, two years pre-college, and an additional three years at the university level. I have resided in a majority Spanish- speaking city for the past 5 years. I regularly engage with a broad circle of Latin Americans from various countries, so I am well versed in the linguistic variations between different forms of Spanish, but my focus will be on Castellano.
