English (ESL) with Lauren A.

am a certified TESOL instructor with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Spanish. I have experience teaching Spanish and English as a Second Language and studied abroad in Spain for a short period of time. In my 3 years of teaching, I have taught/tutored both children and adults. My students describe me as patient, kind, and motivating. My experience in corporate sales shapes my specialized business ESL focus. My objective is to help eager students improve their skills in grammar, listening, and expand their use of vocabulary and English expressions/idioms. Learning everyday English is essential for success. Therefore, my aim is to always teach my students language they can actually use right away. If they can use it, they will remember it and continue to build their confidence. As a foreign language student myself, I can understand and sympathize with the frustrations and challenges my students face on their ESL journey. I use 30+ methods(many of which are based on applied neuroscience research) to make learning fun and enjoyable, yet effective.
