My name is Kyoko. I am a native speaker of Japanese, born and raised in Japan. (As you might guess, my name came from the beautiful city of Kyoto.) I moved to the U.S. in 2005, and I'm in Orlando raising three bilingual children. :) When I was in college in Osaka, Japan, I started helping a lot of exchange students with their Japanese. Since then, teaching Japanese has been my passion. I love grammar. I enjoy explaining the grammar until my students fully understand it. My likes: I love photography. I do insect macro photography on my free time. I crochet hats. I enjoy watching anime. My favorites are 君の名は, 物語シリーズ, キノの旅, 風の谷のナウシカ, ジョジョの奇妙な冒険, ドュラララ, to name a few. I'd love to talk to you about all kinds of things. :) For beginner students, I usually use Genki textbooks and workbooks. **Important*** I do expect my students to memorize vocabulary and do some workbook/review on their own time outside of our lessons. (At least an hour for an hour of lesson.) It is ideal for students to memorize Hiragana and Katakana. Kanji is optional. いっしょにべんきょうしましょう!
