I started teaching English and Spanish at age 20. My main methods are finding out what the student wants to accomplish and practicing those conversations, offering friendly corrections, until they feel comfortable. During sessions I like to play games, watch and discuss short films, and reinforce vocabulary and phrases with reading, writing, art, and song. Your homework may be treasure hunts in the real world to build confidence. For me it's all about practicing what you learn, seeing your success, and building confidence.
