Python Programming: Beginner-friendly Hands-on Problem Solving

I break Python programming concepts down into easily understandable pieces, illustrating concepts with metaphors, diagrams, and mnemonic devices as needed. I work at the student's pace, explaining line-by-line what's happening in the code, and making sure you have a full grasp on each concept before moving on. I'll guide you step-by-step through the process of writing code, from brainstorming to debugging, and also teach you to use documentation and other resources that will enable you to continue learning new Python programming concepts on your own. Let me know if you'd like to work with me!

    About Kae U.

Smith College gave me an extraordinarily supportive and respectful environment to pursue my education in Computer Science. The help I received from the department tutors was crucial to my academic success, and I jumped at the first opportunity to join their ranks and help beginning learners in the same way that they helped me. Since graduating in 2011 I have mostly worked as a web developer, but I've never forgotten the confidence and clarity those tutors helped me find. Today, I want to ensure that anyone with an interest in programming gets the same support and sense of community. As a veteran web developer with over 15 years of programming experience, I can teach you the latest techniques for writing clean, readable code, and creating web content that looks good on a wide range of devices. As a tutor of 7 years, my goal is to pinpoint which concepts you struggle with the most, and to provide you with engaging, easy-to-understand explanations for those concepts. I am committed to treating my students with patience and respect, especially those who don't feel they fit in with the stereotypical "tech bro" image. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson, please feel free to contact me!
