English (ESL) with Judith B.

I am a writer and author and am currently working on an audiobook (doing my own voiceover!) I was the principal and owner of Genesis Academy where for many years I taught students on a one-on-one basis, giving individualized homeschool lesson plans, administering state-required tests, and assuring a professional educational transcript accompanied the student, to ease their transition into the college of their choice. Some of my students were temporary, others were with me for up to four years, depending on their educational level when first attending my classes. Every student has a unique learning style when adapting to speak English as a second language. I strive to make learning enjoyable and something to be looked forward to, rather than a chore or a task. Some students are visual learners, others prefer to immediately immerse themselves with a direct hands-on approach. I have some students who absorb lessons quickly through the use of rhymes, poetry, music, fairy tales, and great works of literature. My classroom is a place where a student looks forward to attending, a place where each individual is prized for their uniqueness in the world. I look forward to our classes together!
