- Levels Taught:
I taught myself how to speak Portuguese and then I studied 2 semester of Portuguese at a community college. I participated in meetings where I improved my listening and speaking skills. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant for a Portuguese language and culture professor. I work on translating documents and improving the Portuguese curriculum for the lower division courses.
- Teaches students:
- Ages 18 to 45
- Teaching since:
I’m a French Graduate Teaching Associate and a Portuguese Graduate Assistant at SDSU. I will obtain my MA in French spring 2020. Then, I plan to continue my studies at UC Berkley where I want to obtain a PhD in Romance Languages and Linguistics. I obtained a BA in French, a BA in Linguistics, a minor in Italian Studies and a TESL certificate from SDSD back in spring of 2018.
I have learned several languages that I would consider myself a language aficionado. I understand the time and dedication that it takes to learn a foreign language specially when you don’t get the daily exposure to the language and culture. Therefore I consider myself a patient person that wants the best for his students regardless of the language they are learning. What matters is the satisfaction of the student in obtaining their language goal.
My goal is to obtain my PhD and teach French, and Italian language and linguistics.
