When I was a teenager I became very self-conscious of the strong Boston accent that I had learned. I felt that the accent was getting in the way of the things that I had to say. I hated the sound of my voice. Around the same time I began to learn Spanish. This language would require me to learn new tongue positions and breathing. It also taught me to reproduce sound, rhythm and cadence. With my new skills I was able to emulate the speaking voices of newscasters, DJ's and other skilled public speakers. I am often told that I have a great voice for radio. My accent is long gone and in its place is a strong, confident speaker. Whatever your reason to reduce your accent, I am here to help.
