English (ESL) with JenShane IK J.

When I was a little girl I really love acting like I was the teacher and my playmates were my students. So, after I finished my secondary education, I chose to finish Bachelor in Secondary Education, major in Physical Sciences and Mathematics at University of Caloocan City, Philippines from 2004-2008. Since 2004, my first year in college started, I volunteered to teach children from 3-12 years old in our church every Sunday until 2013. After I finished my degree in April 2008, I became an office-based man-to-man English tutor to Koreans students from July-December 2008 at FELA, Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City Philippines. And from January-February 2009 I thought a six-year and an 18-year old student privately at their homes. During those months that I did not teach, I was preparing for my Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) under Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines. And on April 5, 2009 I took the test and passed it. I got a summer job for a month as an office-based man-to-man English tutor Koreans in May of 2009. I volunteered for a few months to teach in our church. I got a substitute teaching job in November, 2009-April 2010 in St. Vincent de Paul Academy, Quezon City, Philippines. when a teacher left due to illness. After my regular classroom setting experience in St. Vincent de Paul Academy, I decided to apply for public high school teaching position in the city where I lived. Fortunately, I was accepted to teach Mathematics in Pangarap High School in Caloocan City, Philippines. I was an LSB teacher in my first year of teaching in Pangarap High School. LSB stands for Local School Board, our city government paid my salary from July 2010-April 2011. After almost one school year, the national government paid me from July 2011-February 2014. I really enjoyed my teaching experience. I loved and missed my students. Though, I left the Philippines for USA to live with my husband, I still have this passion for teaching. I applied as an online English tutor at IDP Online Language Center. The company is based in Vietnam. I have been teaching English to Vietnamese students since February 2016 up to present. I would love to share my knowledge and skills to my future students. I hope to see you in my class.
