Hello, there! My name is Jenn, and it's a pleasure to "meet" you! I have wanted to teach English ever since I was in elementary school. I grew up travelling around the world and books were my best friends along the way! I knew for the rest of my life that I wanted to help others communicate the way those books communicated to me. I took quite a few special prep courses in English during high school, graduated college with a BA in English from Thomas Edison State University in New Jersey, and quickly continued to earn my MA in Language and Literature from Signum University in New Hampshire. While studying, I tutored students in English communication and composition. English has followed me wherever I go, so that now I have 5-10 years of tutoring experience behind me! Currently, I tutor graduate-level students in the academic writing process, internationals in speaking English as their second language, and students of any age in English language studies. I am also able to help with college prep and application essays, as well as coach clients through writing resumes and cover letters. One of my favourite things about tutoring is to get to know students as we work on language projects together. Travelling has made me appreciate different people, backgrounds, and cultures so much, and it is my pleasure to engage students for the gifted, unique persons they are before anything else. Besides language studies, I deeply enjoy music, hiking, and coming up with new food adventures. What do you like? What are your English joys, challenges, and aims?
