    Learn English as a second language with interactive ESL Teacher

    My focus is teaching beginner ESL students. Students will learn all the basics, proper (along with conversational) American English, reading, and writing, in interactive and engaging online classes. I really enjoy working with students and watching their progress as we continue class sessions together. It is so rewarding to see my students go from learning the basics to carrying on a conversation with me. I am always working on methods to improve my students' classroom experiences by making my classes interesting and enjoyable in a relaxing environment while making sure I am reaching all of my students.

    About Jenny

    Hello! My name is Teacher Jenny. My Group ESL classes are designed for young ESL students, ages 5 - 11. You are welcome to join if you are an older learner at ESL1 Level; however, please be respectful and advised that the class material is geared toward young ESL1 learners with little to some English speaking skills and may include videos and other media created for young English Language learners. ABOUT MY LESSONS I use interactive slides that we use in class to learn and practice the English language visually and verbally. My lesson plans are flexible to meet each of my student's individual needs and learning styles. I teach my students formal and proper English pronunciations and rules, along with jargon, and customary American practices. I try to make the classroom experience productive by including customs and traditions. I aim to reach all of my students by understanding various learning styles. I am dedicated to teaching my students academic reading, writing, proper grammar, and conversational English in an engaging, online class. After earning my B.S. in Criminal Justice, and my Post-Bachelorette Certificate in Human Resource Management, I decided to enter the education field. After completing the Elementary Education classes at Wesleyan University, I instead, needed to go directly into teaching for financial reasons. I taught as a Substitute Teacher, and a K-12 tutor until I discovered ESL education. Since I began teaching ESL students, I earned a 40-credit-hour TESOL Certification in 2019 and a 120-credit-hour TEFL Certification. In addition, I taught STEM classes for Bricks4Kids and Young Rembrandts. When I create my classes and online courses, I integrate my education and my experience in the education field into my lesson plans to make learning English as a second language a flexible and informative experience. I also provide practice slides for my students to download in chat. Hope to see you in class!

    After my experience as an educator in the traditional K-12 classroom, a tutor, and as an online ESL teacher, I have discovered my passion for teaching students English as a second language. After earning my B.S. in Criminal Justice, my Post-Bachelorette's Certificate in Human Resource Management, I decided to go into the education field. I continued on to complete all of the Elementary Education classes, at Wesleyan University. I moved on to begin a family before completing the student teaching portion. Instead, I decided to follow my passion as an ESL educator. I have, since, earned my 140-Credit Hour TEFL and 40 Credit Hour TESOL.
