Jared is very knowledgeable. My only minor criticism is that because he is knowledgeable, he talks very fast, and it sometimes can be difficult to write everything down. However, this is to be expected over Skype, particularly since he cannot see when one is writing and when one is not. He also knows a lot of websites with Finnish music, vocabulary drills, grammatical explanations, and news, all of which are good study aids.

We got right off to a running start with the first assessments. Jared has an active style of teaching with a good positive environment, humor, enthusiasm and relevant grammatical background explanations. So far, so good!

Jared was awesome! He asked what I wanted to do with the lesson, and even though my notes were vague he put together exactly what I needed. His feedback was thorough, precise, and fair. He is unbelievably knowledgeable about the subject. He is patient and clear in his teaching style. I would recommend him any time.

Great teacher, fun to talk to and its really been helping me a lot. I noticed especially during this weeks lesson that I have begun to use context clue to figure out what a word I did not know means which make me happy!
