    Linux for beginners through advanced - 30+ years experience

    I have worked with Unix/Linux for the past 30 years. I typically work in Red Hat and/or Centos linux operating systems, but most are very similar. I have taught classes in the past regarding this topic and skillset. I will help you grow your understanding of how to navigate and understand the linux operating system. I can also help you learn the daunting linux VI editor, which I am convinced is one of the best editors around. If you have no experience in Linux, that is not a problem. I will get you to a level where you are very comfortable.

    Hello. My name is Jim. I have been working with databases for 30 years as a DBA. Before being a DBA I was a software developer. My focus is relational databases but have also worked with noSQL and document databases as well. I have created many small technology businesses over the years, but mostly for a learning perspective. I have consulted, mentored interns and IT professionals, and taught public classes. Some topics include: Unix System Administration, Oracle Database Administration, and shell scripting.     I have been involved with learning relational database technology, specifically Oracle, from the ground up. I have been working with Oracle for around 30 years.
