My goal with each student is to improve writing skills and foster creativity depending on the kind of writing undertaken. Working
with the student's school curriculum and aligning with their teacher's goals in writing is a key part of my instruction.

Over the last 34 years I've taught students in both public and private schools.  I received my Teaching Credential in 1981 and substitute taught for several years in San Diego County. I earned a BA in History from University California Riverside in 1989 and began teaching elementary school in 1990. I received my Masters Degree in education in 2002 where I was also  certified as a Reading Specialist. I've enjoyed helping students become better readers and improve their writing skills. Personally, I enjoy playing golf, reading and developing new friendships.

I have worked with James on several projects over the past 2 years. He is wonderful with children, and has a talent for the written word. He puts a great deal of thought and passion into his teaching, and into presenting material in a way that suits the student. I thoroughly recommend James as a teacher.
