Tagalog with Irish B.

Hello there! My name is Irish, and I was born and raised in the Philippines. I attended college for about two years and majored in Business Administration and Marketing at Davao Oriental State College in the Philippines. While I was in the Philippines, I tutored Tagalog and Bisaya (dialect) to children and adults throughout high school and college. I moved to America in 2014 and have been in the Washington, D.C. area ever since. In my free time, I like to cook Filipino cuisine and play with my 4-year-old son. I also have currently been tutoring these languages online and to people in the northern Virginia area for the past few months. I would love to teach Tagalog and Bisaya, sharing my native languages with those eager to learn. My tutoring method consists of teaching the fundamentals and then applying an immersive approach as soon as possible. I have found this technique results in fluency the fastest with my students. Conversational skills will be emphasized, but we will also work on attaining proficiency in reading and writing. Overall, I love teaching Tagalog, Bisaya, English, and study skills.
