American Sign Language

Beginner

One on one Lessons. 
Develop beginner American Sign Language classes. 
Create Lessons based on new vocabulary and students capability of retaining information.

Developed a class structure to teach America Sign Language for 4th and 5th grade students.

Clean up cabins and trails used by the children.
Designed visual aids for classes.
Engage students with fun activities that encouraged learning new information. 
Science based information given to students on hikes and activity performed as a group.
Class setting included a mixture between hands on classes and large group activities.

The intent for my course involves the following outcomes for my students:

4. understanding their is no "one" way
5. sign acquainted to occupation or purpose
In addition, to all the outcomes listed above we will discuss and practice the essentials for American Sign Language such as: 
1. Classifiers
2. Facial Expressions
3. Mouth morphemes
4. idioms

I understand that most individual's motivation in learning a new language involves the ability to communicate with natives; therefore, making it my priority, unless told otherwise.

Hello :) My name is Giselle Parris. I am an  American Sign Language Interpreter graduate;  I received my signs and current knowledge from a college.  During the last year, I had the opportunity to inter for three events that involved interpreters and the deaf community. I have taught American Sign Language to a variety of individuals ranging from 4th and 5th grade students to adults.  Hope to see you in my schedule one day :)
