Portuguese is a beautiful language and it must be taught with our heart. It also is one of the most difficult to learn, and my years of experience teaching English and Portuguese to teenagers and adults in Brazil showed me that if the curriculum and lesson plans do not take their way of living into consideration it will not make sense to them and they will lose interest. So I learnt to respect everyone's reality, every student or community is unique.
