I am an experienced tutor with 2+ of experience teaching Spanish, Italian, English, Writing, and Philosophy. Having been introduced to the language at 3 years old and studying it at a high level for 20 years, Spanish is by far what I teach best. I currently am one semester away from graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. In addition to my studies, I use Spanish every day given that most of my friends are native speakers of the language. I also minor in Italian and am in the process of becoming fluent in it. As an avid student of languages, I understand the frustrations and challenges that come with learning a new tongue. My goal is to simplify the process for you as best as I can to keep you from getting overwhelmed, which happens all too often when learning a language. Rather than teaching you the subjunctive, for instance, I aim to break this broad, complex concept down into smaller, easier steps that put you on an effective track to understanding it as a whole. Moreover, given my extensive experience of conducting one-on-one lessons, I know how to plan lessons to suit your needs and goals. Though I am not a native speaker, I have a deeper understanding of the Spanish language than most native speakers, just as fluent, non-native speakers of English are normally more familiar with the mechanics of the language than most who call it their mother tongue. I specialize in Spanish grammar, but I have experience and am equally qualified to help you with skills in conversation, pronunciation, writing, reading, and listening.
