English (ESL) with Emily S.

I have over 3 and a half years of online ESL with one of the most selective online ESL companies in China. In that time, I have taught over 2400 students ranging from the beginner who knows no English to those who are fluent. I like to tailor my lessons to each student and scaffold to their level. For beginners, it is helpful to have a supportive parent in the room to help encourage the student while rapport is established. If there are areas you'd like to focus on, I can accommodate those request. My goal for each student is to help them achieve their potential for English learning. I believe in helping students speak English with a native accent, so I focus on pronunciation correction and I encourage all levels of students to speak in complete sentences that are catered to their skill level. I provide encouragement throughout the lesson and allow students to choose a digital reward based on their likes that they get to see at intervals during the lesson. My classroom is a positive and engaging environment for learners of all levels.
