I teach English to a variety of learners in high schools here in Austria. In any one day I could be teaching a class on Neoclassical architecture in the United States to advanced art students, to holding a lesson on the differences between adjectives and adverbs to beginner level students who I often instruct bilingually in German and English.

Milwaukee German Immersion School

I returned to the school that taught me German to pass on my language skills to new learners. I worked primarily with the youngest age group (4-6) which meant introducing them to the language through complete language immersion. I only spoke German to the students with prior knowledge, and used the sandwich method (saying something in German, repeating it in English, and then repeating it in German once more) to the children who had no German background.
