Sara is an established voice and piano teacher in the New York City Area. She is a thoughtful and dedicated instructor with nearly a decade of teaching experience, and her students range from beginners to professionals. As a voice teacher, she has helped students audition for competitive music schools and The Voice, and has also helped others to be able to sing with more confidence in their community theaters, churches and karaoke parties. As a piano teacher, she has been excited to be able to help many beginning and intermediate students develop the musical and technical fundamentals that they need to excel in many different genres of music. Although Elisabeth primarily performs classical music, she loves applying her extensive technical knowledge to many different styles.
Sara received her performance training and teaching certifications at Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Conservatory, and also a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the college. Since graduating from Oberlin, she has been honored to train and work with many renowned teachers and coaches in States, and she loves imparting this knowledge to her students.
As a performer, Sara has sung with Opera New Jersey, Opera Saratoga, Hubbard Hall Opera Theater, the Dell'Arte Opera Ensemble, and Martina Arroyo's Prelude to Performance to name a few. Some of her favorite performances have been the title role in Carmen, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Singer 3 in Conrad Susa's opera Transformations, and Zita and Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi.
Sara also loves languages and enjoys instructing these as well. She is certified through Oxford Seminars to tutor English as a Second Language. She has coached students through their TOEFL examinations, and others through basic communication and daily skills. She is proficient in German and French, and is eager to help with conversation and test prep in these areas as well.

Fabulous
Elisabeth has just the right balance in what I hoped for in a teacher. She challenges me just enough for me to feel frustrated but like I'm growing, and she affirms my work just enough for me to feel good about myself and confident. She also has a great balance between a friendly energy and getting down to work.
