Yiddish with Eli R.

I am a licensed attorney in the state of New York, with a degree in English literature. After spending most of my career at a large law firm, I left the practice of law to pursue my passions of writing and acting full-time. As a member of New Yiddish Repertory Theater, I've appeared in 6 plays three of which I translated from Hebrew and English. My course is based on the conversational Yiddish courses I teach as part of the theater workshop, and will be full of fascinating glimpses into the rich traditions and culture of the great Yiddish writers in Eastern Europe, e.g., Sholem Aleichem, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Sholem Ash, etc. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
