Spanish with Donnie P.

Buenas tardes! My name is Mike and I am thrilled that you are considering me as a Spanish teacher. I am 48 years old, married with four children. I am a teacher and have taught many subjects over the last 23 years: Civics (American Government), Spanish (introductory and level two), and also ESL (English as a Second Language). I have taught teens in the American public schools. I have also taught Hispanic adults who wanted to learn English. I am bilingual. I love to teach. Imparting knowledge and seeking students progress in proficiency thrills me. My degree was in History at N.C. State University with a minor in Spanish. I worked with Spanish speaking folks for three to four summers back in the early 90s. They taught me much and I constantly practiced my Spanish. People have told me that I speak with little to no accent. I have been to Spain (in 1996); it was a beautiful country. Old churches, museums, historic sites dating back to the Middle Ages. Europe is so beautiful! I have also been to Mexico. He viajado a Mexico. I went just briefly while on a cruise. I hope to go there one day. If you can learn Spanish, obviously you will be helped living in Spain, Mexico, or the many other Central and South American countries. Also it is the second language, in this day and age, of the United States. You need it to be able to serve Spanish speaking people well. Welcome!
