English (ESL) with David A.

I am an experienced, unconventional English teacher with a specialty in ESL. I have taught students of all skill levels and age groups. I am fully fluent both in Spanish and English, and this allows me to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking students who will benefit from using both languages in a classroom setting. It gives me immense pleasure to watch my students grow confident and proficient in their language skills. My communicative approach to teaching prioritizes interaction and conversation as the most effective tool for language acquisition. I pride myself on having a deep erudition in English language literature, film, sports, politics, science, philosophy, and history. All of this I utilize to make each lesson culturally rich, engaging, and informative. I want my students to write and speak in English with grace, skill, and confidence, and to be able to listen, read, and comprehend whatever is being expressed by others who use English. I use different approaches for students that have different skill levels, as well as for students of different ages. I have demonstrated proficiency in teaching young and old students English.
