My name is Darreion, and I have been teaching kids and young adults chess for over a year now. My friend and I started a free chess teaching program in Roanoke, Virginia and have seen astounding results from our students! My personal chess achievements include many tournaments wins in Roanoke and well-placings in VA State Scholastic (Open) tournaments. I also have a 2000 ELO standard rating on chess.com. As far as USCF ratings go, I'm in the process of participating in more tournaments to raise my rating up and eventually reach the National Master title! At any rate, I have an undying fondness for the game of chess which is evident by the fact that I am 21 years old and have been playing for 14 years! My enthusiasm for playing the game is rivaled only by my enthusiasm for teaching it and sharing my knowledge, and drive to succeed, with others.
