I was born in the USA and my Dad was born in Cuba when HIS Dad worked as a chef in 1 of the big hotels. Mom is US born as well, but her Dad was born in Cuba. I grew up in Miami and have been bi-lingual my whole life. I speak Spanish every opportunity I can to expand my vocabulary. What we don't use, we loose. When I speak I do not have an accent. It is wonderful to say something in Spanish to a stranger and watch their face light up :) That is my goal for my students .... to give them the confidence to speak Spanish easily whenever and wherever their travels may take them. My current goal is to visit Mexico in 2017 to experience the food & culture myself. Then, I will be able to decide where I would like to spend 6 months of the year when I retire from my job. Viva Mexico!
