I am a current Computer Engineering student with an Associates in Science degree in Computer Programming. While accomplishing my Associates, I took several programming classes such as C, C++, Java, Python, Visual Basic, and many more. And, although the professors went above and beyond to teach the material and help clarify any programming concepts, when it comes to code, practice outside the classroom is needed. I spent and continue to spend hours of programming on my own time, which allows me to bring this knowledge to my students where I can break down the concepts and help them visualize the fundamentals. I always encourage my students to practice as much as they can after each session and give them an example in which they can work on their own to solidify the subjects or topics we went over. I have three years of tutoring experience teaching different programming classes and math subjects in a college campus setting in the computer lab or library. I worked directly with college classmates one on one, as well as taught a small group of 3-4 students twice a week during the semester. These were students taking a Python or Java programming course that needed that additional explanation, and for which I was happy to help them understand so they did not fall behind with the homework assignments. Additionally, I also worked with high school students and tutored them at their home or a public library in subjects such as Python, Algebra, and Calculus. I want to provide as much help and clarity in any of the subjects I have mentioned above, so any additional resources or suggestions are highly welcome.
