    About Beatriz A.

    Hi there, inquisitive minds! My name is Beatriz.!I have a BA in English with a dual concentration in English literature and writing and rhetoric. Also, I earned an MA in English with a focus on reading, writing, and the language arts. I worked as a writing tutor and college writing instructor for over three years and I currently teach 5th-grade reading, writing, and social studies. I am a licensed teacher in the state of Florida, and I am an accredited master tutor by the College Reading and Learning Association. I specialize in reading and writing tutoring both for academic purposes (K-12 and college) as well as for the standardized test sections of the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT. As a native Spanish speaker, I also tutor Spanish (all levels). Additionally, I offer special tutoring concentrating on study skills/ methods applicable to any subject and customizable to any student. I am very passionate about teaching and learning and you can often find me at my local library or Barnes and Noble perusing books, listening to my favorite music, reading my favorite books, and drinking a tasty cappuccino!
