About Basma N.

I am a professional English/ Arabic teacher and translator/ Interpreter. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Arabic/ English Translation and Interpretation and Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Language students can expect to improve week to week in their conversation, reading and writing techniques. Every student has a unique way of learning; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundation techniques in order to unlock their own individual talent. I can help any student to speak with freedom, confidence, and expression. I teach Arabic and English students of all different ages and experience levels. I am native Arabic and studied English for 16 years, and English/ Arabic university level language for 4 of those. I can teach students to speak, write and read Arabic and English and pursue communication excellence, to learn how to speak colloquial Arabic, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. As a professional interpreter, I frequently take trips within California to provide interpretation services. I have interpreted and translated for well-known entities in the United Arab Emirates like Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Dubai Education Council and Abu Dhabi Police. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, dynamic speakers. My personal passion is reading but I firmly believe that writing is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better linguist!
