English (ESL) with Ashley Marie L.

I'm Ashley Marie recently certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I love to travel and learn about new cultures, I have traveled solo to 11 countries so far. I speak basic Spanish. I am also a certified Massage Therapist (Swedish & Asian modalities) for almost two decades with Reiki 1 and Yoga Body Trapeze Teacher through the Yoga Teachers College of Barcelona in 2019. I have volunteered through the WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) organization in Australia, New Zealand and Hawai’i at animal sanctuaries, intentional communities and various organic farms (blueberry and coffee) since 2007. I have a healthy passion for sustainable farming methods, naturopathy, alternative healing methods, entheogens and plant medicines. I have vocational food training in safety and handling through the Touch a Heart organization so I am knowledgeable about the basics of prep-work and keeping a kitchen and am very passionate about vegan and sustainable culinary options. My first job at 18 was as a laborer in construction in Miami so I know a little basic carpentry and building. I have used a jackhammer, skillzsaw, chopsaw, table saw, etc. and have painted, hammered, poured concrete and repaired the walls of strawbale buildings before. I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2010 and 2013 and in addition to being one of the best soul evolving experiences of my entire life I learned alot about myself, travel, backpacking and the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. I like to keep my lessons upbeat, relevant and personal to the student by introduction icebreakers, role playing real life scenarios, discussing current events and pop culture.
