Hi everyone, 

I think as an American, I have a unique approach to teaching Italian since I was in the shoes of the student for many years. I began studying Italian more than 12 years ago in high school, and after living in Italy and receiving my MA in Italian, I am still passionate about learning about all things Italian. I have a love and understanding for grammar but I know how to make it fun, not overbearing. I approach teaching with passion and dedication, and I like to keep things lighthearted and include lots of movies, music, and real dialogue, not just drills and exercises.

I am currently accepting students ages 16 to 85

I have been teaching Italian since I got my MA in Italian Studies three years ago at Georgetown University. I am American but began studying Italian and visiting Italy on a regular basis when I was in high school. I am still completely enthralled with the Italian language, as well as Italian art, politics, cuisine, and culture. I like to keep my classes fun and I incorporate lots of media like songs and movie clips to keep my classes engaging. I know firsthand what it's like to be an Italian student and I am excited to help speakers of other languages learn it too!

She is Amazing!!! We love how she explains things and is patient when it takes a minute to understand! She is personable and smart! I would highly recommend her!

Love my new teacher. It's nice having a fresh perspective on my area of study. I'll hopefully be privileged enough to have her long enough to reach a comfortable level of speech and beyond. Give her a raise she works hard at her job. Communicates well too.
