This is where it all started! My first tutoring position began with me facilitating academic tutoring services for middle and high school students enrolled in the A.V.I.D. program, a national organization that successfully promotes college entrance and success rates among first generation and minority students. As an A.V.I.D. alum whom has had previous tutors, it was a natural transition for me to reverse the role, relate to the students, and provide them with academic assistance.
