Italian with Allegra P.

Hello! My name is Allegra. I am an American native with strong Italian roots. I was born and raised in metro Detroit where I learned how to speak Italian from my family. I attended Michigan State University where I furthered my Italian language comprehension and grammar skills with a minor in Italian. I have been to Italy various times throughout my life, including a study abroad trip during my second year of college, where I studied Italian language and culture in Florence. During my time at Michigan State, I tutored many students in Italian language, was an active member of the MSU Italian club, and won the award for Outstanding Student in Italian. Upon graduating, I was inducted into Gamma Kappa Alpha-- the national Italian honor society. As a student who also went through the process of learning Italian as a second language, I am able to share various teaching styles that helped me to learn Italian over the years. I believe that there is no one right way to learn a language and I would love to help you learn Italian in the way that is the most fun and effective for you.
