I'm a native Spanish speaker with a Masters Degree in Spanish. I have 19+ years of teaching experience working as an adjunct college professor, a Berlitz immersion instructor and private tutor for businesses and government professionals (Military, FBI, etc.). I tailor my instruction to meet student learning objectives and I use a multi-sensory approach (PowerPoint, Video, Songs, etc.) that makes learning Spanish fun!

Alicia's classes have truly exceeded my expectations. We work 1 on 1 in person but she is available to teach entirely online as well. I had a limited foundation in Spanish and am half Cuban so have a little more exposure to the language than the average beginner, but we started with the basics and worked up from there. She goes at my pace and takes time to answer all of my crazy questions! We use a textbook as a base for our classes but we also spend a lot of time chatting in Spanish about everything - current events, what we did that day, etc. - it is absolutely perfect because she helps me learn how to use Spanish in the real world with my friends and family while also teaching me proper reading and writing skills which I need professionally for my job as a CPA with many clients who speak Spanish. In addition to the classes being great, she gives me homework and tips on how to practice and continue exposing myself to the language outside the classroom so I don't forget anything. I look forward to continuing to work with her and HIGHLY recommend her.
