I am a software engineer with experience in teaching. I learned to code on my own when I was 14. I studies Computer Science in SJSU - at the heart of Silicon Valley. I'm also a co-founder at Slugbug.co (a marketplace startup for coding lessons). I've built many apps for various platforms - two of which are on the Apple's App Store.
I've been teaching coding for the last 5 years. This hobby began when I taught my passionate 13 year old brother how to make iPhone apps. He now makes iPhone apps better than I do. On my spare time, I organize Meetup events and teach people entrepreneurship and software development. Currently I'm leading a Meetup group with over 100 students.
Learning to code is a challenge - especially if you want to learn online. Less than 10% of people that start online course today finish it. I believe that the best way to learn coding is by having one-on-one interaction with an expert. Coding is an art that anyone can master if they practice it well with an industry expert.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better programmer!

Ali's teaching style is just amazing. He teaches in such a way that anyone can understand. His explanations are very clear and he gives great examples. I highly recommend Ali for programming lessons.
Ali teaches my son C++ programming. My son looks forward to his classes every time! He is extremely nice and very passionate. I couldn't have had a better tutor for my son.
I took an iOS development class with Ali without prior coding knowledge. He was very patient with me and walked me through step-by-step. I really enjoyed his teaching style. He made sure that I understood every concept before moving on. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a beginner coding lesson!+ Read More
