I have been teaching chess for over 10 years and my current USCF rating is 2170. I specialize in the beginner/intermediate levels (unrated-1800 USCF rated). Lessons are customized and catered to the needs and goals of each student. My teaching style revolves around creating a fun and interactive learning environment.  Lessons involved opening preparation, middle game ideas and tactics, end-game preparation, and most important one-on-one game play with move-by-move analysis by chess master. Not only will you be playing chess in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of chess knowledge that will allow you to move rapidly through the ranks and crush your opponents. Let's get started!

My USCF rating is 2170 and FIDE is 2160. I played chess in both high school and college, winning many tournaments along the way. I have played in many international tournaments and competing in other countries is one of my favorite things to do. 

Lessons are created according to the students strength but also their interest. A typical lesson consists of tactics, playing, and working through an aspect of the game (opening, middle game, ending).
