    About Aakash R.

I'm a Carnegie Mellon graduate, who's currently a software developer at Google. I started tutoring at college, where I taught mathematics and computer science as a university peer-tutor. I was also a teaching assistant for several courses. As a tutor, I strive to ensure that the basics are well-understood, as a strong foundation is critical. As a recent student myself, I also empathize with the frustrations that often accompany learning new material. I have found that mathematics, especially, is often daunting and the low confidence stemming from poor results can lead to a vicious cycle. Therefore, I also focus on helping build confidence when required. In addition to my tutoring experience at college, I have also helped high-school students with the SAT(Math + EBRW) and AP Computer Science A. I am extremely familiar with the materials of both tests, and tailor my tutoring based on the time horizon and the student's abilities. Ideally, I prefer to work with a student for at least one month leading to a test. I am thoroughly invested in my students' learning and success, and am very accessible during the day via email/text for any help. You will find a knowledgable and patient tutor in me. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you believe that I can be of assistance. I hope to talk to you soon!
