I have over 30 years experience with painting, sketching, and Color theory. My passion is to share my knowledge and understanding. I have been consistently teaching groups and a one on one basis for the past 3 years. I understand from an early age the impact art has. I would love to help you build a foundation of art and give you the tools to create when ever you desire. I specialize in beginners/intermediate and will customize each lesson to fit your need. Deron C. has been exploring painting for over 20 years and has been teaching others how to express themselves creatively with paint for over 10. He will lead you through a creative process that encourages creativity and allows painting students the freedom to paint in an intuitive way. If you've never painted before, Deron will guide you through the basics of painting, color theory, and the elements and principles of design while helping you exercise and strengthen your creativity.

Gesture, Expression and Experiment are my tools. I combination with an education in materials and the willingness to keep playing we end up confidently creating image. It is impossible to get anything done in an hour so try to find a way to book a longer time. Materials are somewhat included as I always have things but do contribute with art supplies, paper, found things. It's not necessary to spend a lot of money at the art supply store, just keep your eyes open at garage sales, etc and your store of materials will accumulate.

I received my minor in art and design from Lees-McRae college. Abstract painting is one of my most favored art forms and I would love to help you get out of your head and let your brush do all the talking. Making unique, beautiful, completely you art pieces.
