As a teacher for 7 years one of my favorite things is bringing the arts into teaching. I've taught infants through adults, beginners and advanced, and the one secret I can absolutely tell you about learning, is if you are happy then you are going to learn a lot more! I'm excited to get to know you and make you smile!
Let me tell you a little about the Lessons I have to offer. I have specific curriculums for several categories such as Landscapes, Abstract, Still Life, and Portraits. One of my classes that is trending right now is "Flourish and Bloom" which a where we create an acrylic painting on canvas of a flower wreath with an inspirational word in the center. I've got pictures below if you'd like to take a look!

The most fabulous thing about being an artist is that boundaries regarding creativity are non-existent. The artist is always in a state of learning. Art is a progressive practice that takes time to develop.
Students will be introduced to the color wheel, basic materials needed, perspective, and the differences between realistic and impressionistic painting techniques. Materials are not included.
Acrylic painting lessons will be assessed based on the individual's current abilities and their goals.
About Sharron
In my sessions, I am more than a teacher, I am a mentor and a counselor, I promote positive energy for positive outcomes. I am the Artist behind JFA Studio in Baltimore, Maryland. However, my resume includes graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts and continued studies at the Maryl

Students can expect to focus on learning a good foundation. I am familiar with several different approaches when working with acrylic paints. They include but are not limited to; direct painting, graphic approach, building up of layers using glazes and dry brushing. I also sensitive to the surfaces acrylic is used on; paper, canvas, fabric, metal and wood are just a few.
About Sandy
I believe in the power of art to change lives. I have been working as a professional artist for several decades and I love what I do. My work ranges from murals to intimate portraiture. My resume includes National Endowment for the Arts funded public art projects, solo exhibitions and museum shows

ACRYLIC PAINTING LESSONS
Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstract art, non figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.
A Complete List of Painting Supplies that every Acrylic Painter needs
1. Acrylic Paints. Ex: Golden Classic Theory Color, a-z Acrylics, Liquitex [brands]
2. Proper Painting Brushes [I‘d suggest six total in a range of sizes: two size 2 brushes, two size 6 brushes, and two size 12 brushes. One of each pair should be a flat brush (with a squared-off brush tip) and the other should be a filbert brush (with a slightly rounded tip).
3. Newspaper
4. A charcoal pencil
5. A “palette”
6. Comfortable, messy clothes
7. A painter’s easel - if any
8. Canvas (or other painting surface)
