About Christopher
With eight years experience at Valencia College and 2 years at University of Central Florida I have experienced a wide variety of students between the ages 7 to 60 years. This experience has enabled me to customize lessons in one to one sessions with each unique student and their unique needs.

My teaching methodologies include plenty of visual aids, simile's, and clear communication with a strong emphasis on Socratic questioning to stimulate critical thought in helping to understand and take control of the information to be learned.

Sessions include visual and auditory components to learning and for students who need kinetic interaction to fulfill their learning process assignments can be assigned or custom problems can be created to be solved with an overview process of what is understood and what needs to be better diagnosed.

I am a recently retired public high school art teacher and also have experience teaching middle school. I have many many years of experience helping students succeed at all traditional mediums of art as well as graphic design. I received many awards for my teaching including two "teacher of the year" awards.

About J. Paul
Teaching art has always been my passion and my students respond well to me and my teaching style. Many of my students have gone from not even knowing that they had any real artistic ability to going on to pursue college level art or pursueing artistic careers. I have students from years ago that will still contact me for art related questions and some who have become close friends. I believe that my nearly 2 1/2 decades of teaching art in a public school has made me capable of the patience and caring needed to teach any and all learning styles. We can start at whatever skill level you are currently at.

I am a Pratt Institute graduate who just wants to see better graphics around our world. If you look around at different companies and locations in your area, you might not notice it at first, but you see what NOT to do in the graphic design world. I’m here to help you make the choice from good graphic design vs. the rest.

About Kelove
I am a communications designer, I graduated with a bachelors from Pratt Institute 2019. I went to the HighSchool of Fashion Industries 2010 - 2014 with a design garment shown on WWD Magazine my senior year. I have always been interested in different art forms, like drawing, painting, sewing, music, movies and videos, designing logos and posters, clothing. I especially love the process of designing because of where you start and where you end. The future can be quite exciting. Learning shouldn’t be a chore, it should be fun and exciting in creative ways.

I love working with all Romanian-speaking students interested in improving their English.

I lived in Romania for two years (2016-2018) so I do understand 80% of discussions being held, however, but I can only speak roughly 50% of the Romanian language.

I look forward to meeting you and improving your English as well as my Romanian!

Graphic Design! Students who seek me as a professor can expect to be asked what their ultimate goals are, so I can cater all curriculum to their major objectives. After that, beginning students will be walked through curriculum that will present terminology, history (my favorite!), and basic tools used in Graphic Design.

Intermediate and advanced students will also be asked for major objectives they want to take away from the sessions, and the curriculum will be developed towards those needs. Typography, composition and layout, as well as design solutions are the big three corner stones students should expect us to touch on.

Overall, all students should expect at least 30 minutes of lesson time and handouts for them to take with them and study when the session is over (yes, that means homework).

About Mika
I am a professor with seventeen years worth of experience in teaching various subjects for a multitude of students. I've taught subjects such as creative writing, commercial law, ancient civilization, ancient and transitional Latin and Greek, as well as Graphic Design, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Federal and Commercial Building Compliance and Law, et cetera. To put it bluntly, there's very little I cannot teach.

I've taught GED classes and courses for the State of Michigan and the Northeast Penitentiary system for seven years as well, which has been some of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.

I believe that everyone can learn. All it takes is that student to professor connection and knowing what type of learner the student is. I don't believe in a "one shoe fits all" type of teaching style.
My students are unique, with different ways of looking at problems and different ways of coming to their own conclusions and solutions.

Good teaching is a mixture of art and science—the ability to grab and keep students' attention and convey complex information, Mr. K does just that!! I have taken about 4 or 5 classes with him and I must say he has taught me everything I need now in my career. Patient and vastly knowledge. Definitely would take another class with him!

Mr. K taught was amazing. He taught the GED in Michigan a few years ago. The moment I walked into his classroom, it was just one and one. He didn't treat me like all the other teachers. He actually cared and it showed. But man, is he hard! I didn't think I would get homework after the first class, but I was seriously wrong. But over the next two months, he grilled me and grilled me until I wanted to scream. But when I took the GED and was scored, I aced it! Just to warn yall though, he's not an easy teacher. And he doesn't put up with excuses. But when he gives you his attention, its all of it.

He even went waaaay beyond the call of duty and helped me get into college at Lansing Community College. He walked me through the application, even drove and met me at LCC, and sat with me when we talked to the reps. He even helped me look for scholarships and gave me advise on financial aid! This guy is a saint!

To know how to layout a page in print or a website is essential to learn for good communication with your group or customers.

We will learn how to layout a page using 2-dimensional design principles that apply to every kind of flyer, business card, advertisement or website you might need to design.

About Todd
I have been creating art his whole life. Eventually that passion led to my Bachelors Degree (B.F.A.) in Fine Art. Now, I want to pass on what he learned – and the love of learning – to you!

I have experience as a substitute art teacher in one of the most sought after public school districts in Wisconsin. This teaching experience led to the establishment of my own studio as a working and teaching space.

Since 2000, I have been a professional artist working as a painter and web designer/developer. My paintings can be found on the walls one of the largest universities in the United States, University of Wisconsin, Madison.

My work is also widely collected by hospitals, clinics, the Department of Defense and a nationwide audience of private patrons.

What sets me apart from other studio art teachers is that I am a practicing, profe
ssional artist and designer who also happens to really enjoy passing along all that he has learned to others.

I am a professional graphic and motion graphic designer/animator. I have been working in design for over 8 years, mostly within the music industry. I have designed logos, album covers, posters, lyric animations, motion graphic assets and more for artists and bands. I recently created motion graphics for artists such as Bebe Rexha and Drax Project.

About Tano
Tano Brock is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Tano began studying and performing music at a young age and had an almost super-natural knack for it ever since he began banging on a drum at only a few months old. Throughout his childhood, Tano accompanied his family to various music camps in California where he was exposed to music from all over the world. At 6 years old, he began studying darbuka, a Middle Eastern drum. He then started studying piano at age 7, and at 12 began teaching himself guitar. In his early teens he started playing saxophone/clarinet, as well as exploring the world of digital recording and production. At age 18, he released his self-produced debut solo album “Bandit” (2014) - which garnered significant success and launched his career as a com
poser for synch licensing. In 2019, Tano graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree focused on Music Production & Engineering. During his time at Berklee, he explored his deep affinity with world music traditions and traveled to Turkey and the Balkans to study with master musicians, and to Cuba to record a session at a studio in La Habana Vieja. He currently leads a Balkan brass band called Sarma Brass Band, which has performed venue such as the Grand Prospect Hall in NYC and the House of Blues in Boston.

I have been working in Graphic Design for years. I'm published, and an established designer. I have created fonts, websites, logos, promotional campaigns, and much more. While Graphic Design is about the use of the software, that is a different skill. This is a theory with minimal hands on work course. It covers the Theory of Graphic Design, elements, some history, components, and potential outcomes.

About Nicholas
My name is Nicholas Jones, I was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I always had a passion for teaching, but as any good teacher one must first learn. I studied English as a second language and today have a bachelors degree in professional communication from a US based university. I keep in constant contact with peers, friends and family and travel to visit them often, keeping my Russian current. Aside from having professional language skills working as a translator, for an American based company and for a Russian entrepreneur, I know the culture and mannerisms and as any good language course should teach would include them in the plan. Most of all I can be very flexible in my teaching style, if getting to a goal is what you are looking for, that is a direction I can be comfortable with, strictly business. If you are on the other hand, loo
king for an easy time and to learn as much as you can before fully committing, for example, we can have an easy going, learn at your own pace type of environment. Please just let me know what you are looking for and we can agree on what is the most comfortable scenario for you.
