I can teach all styles and levels of l playing but I feel like I am especially great at teaching beginners. In my classes at Roswell High School I teach 3 classes of 20+ beginners at once. So I am really effective. I know exactly what beginners need to gain confidence and the ability to take their guitar playing to the next level. If you are not a beginner have no fear...I have been playing 28 years and have plenty of experience in many styles to help you meet your goals whatever they may be.

Shadwa is awesome! She’s very patient and understanding of student needs. She’s also very encouraging and helpful, whether you’ve had violin experience or not, and makes learning to play so much fun!

I have learned a lot from my lessons with Shadwa. She has a knack for explaining technique, for making the connections between the physical movement and the sound produced. (Yes, it really does help to stand up straight!) She takes a personal interest in her students, which makes for a great lesson atmosphere. We established longer term goals that we could work towards; I appreciated her patience and creativity. Even scales became more than just boring drills! I definitely recommend her as a viola teacher for adults!

Raymond is a nice and a great teacher for our 11 yr old grandson. He is patient and fun. But he gets our grandson to focus when GS gets distracted. I feel that Raymond is teaching wholeheartedly and really it’s up to the student with how far and fast he wants to go.

Hello! I've been performing for 21 years and teaching for 15 years. Teaching has always been a passion for me! Whether you're an adult trying the violin or viola for the first time, or a dedicated student aiming to major in music, I can adapt my approach to suit your needs. I will help you build confidence in your playing through presenting attainable goals each week, while also providing appropriate challenges. I aim to help you feel comfortable and natural as you play by prioritizing proper posture and technique.

I have a Master's degree from the Peabody Conservatory in Violin Performance with an emphasis in pedagogy. I have performed in the U.S.A. and Europe, with well-known artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzahk Perlman, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My teacher training includes the Suzuki method (registered for books 1-5) and the Mark O'Connor method (certified for books 1-2).

My hope is that the violin or viola becomes a constant source of inspiration and ...

Mrs. Hollis is a very kind and patient instructor. She is great at teaching technique and important skills that have to be learned in order to play the violin at your best. My son Ben absolutely loves taking lessons with her and he has learned so much. She is so professional, talented and has so much experience! She is a perfect instructor for anyone who would like to learn to Play the violin!
Olivia
Mrs. Hammonds is such a wonderful teacher! I came to her when I just started high school and was overwhelmed with joy when I found such a great teacher. Focusing on memorization, technique, and working on a solid foundation even after playing for 10 years prior, really reflected in my playing. I think she was the teacher who really showed me why I wanted to play violin and set my foundation up to improve more and more even today!
Kim
As an adult student that let my violin sit idle for too many years, Hollis was able to help me regain some basics skills and build upon them to re-learn different playing styles. Her approach was refreshing and focused on helping me re-learn some classical pieces that were familiar to my background. In addition, she introduced some jazz and fiddle pieces that I was interested in branching out with and worked with me to fine tune bowing techniques for each style.
I would highly recommend Hollis as an instructor for anyone starting out or looking to improve upon existing skills!

"I will definitely keep taking lessons with Esther until I move to a different state. Highly recommend her. She was very patient. Out first lesson took place at her place. I honestly never sang in front of people, though I love to rap with my friends in karaoke. I already gained so much confidence and see the difference. Cannot wait till the next lesson and learn new skills and become a better vocalist. Thank you Esther."

Raphael was very skilled in a guitar of course, but he had a fantastic ways to communicate and create a friendly relationship with my son.
My son was always looking forward for the lesson to come.

Unfortunately we have moved to Michigan and now I need to find another "Raphael"...

I strongly suggest Raphael as your next guitar teacher !"

So going in for voice and learning how to use a the microphone but also the icing of knowing what to say. I am not perfect now, but not a horrifying mess like I was. Now I can at least speak and feel relaxed. Simplicity singing lessons that f work. :)"
