About Kit
With 2 degrees in music and more than 8 years of teaching experience, I offer piano and voice lessons to any age and any level! I consider the most important aspect of teaching to be creating an environment where a love of music can be discovered and nurtured. Everyone is offered the opportunity to discover and deepen their love of music. I chose to make music my career so that I can guide you on your priceless journey towards becoming a better musician...a better person.

*** Lesson Details ***
I do not use one set curriculum. Instead, I have familiarized myself with a dozen various curriculum, and choose the best fit for each individual student. I am open to using books you already own as supplemental material and encourage students to share their suggestions in selecting music. Every student has different goals, and I tailor t
he lessons to meet them.
Within the first lesson, we will set short and long term goals and lesson plans will be made to help you achieve them.
I provide accompaniment and melody recordings for vocal students to practice with.
Material will be sent home with you to peruse at your convenience. This will include articles from music dictionaries, archives, journals and more to give you an opportunity to become a well rounded musician.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Upright piano in living room with waiting area for parents so they may sit in on lessons.
Music stand provided for voice lessons.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Some music may be provided by myself and I am also willing to work with certain books the student may already own. There will be at least one book required for purchase. I expect students to have a pencil and notebook at every lesson.
Water is welcome and encouraged for vocal students.

Parking is available on the street directly outside the studio.

*** Specialties ***
Too often I have seen damage caused to the vocal chords from an instructor's lack of knowledge in developing voices. I am proud to offer voice lessons where I specialize in working with young voices that are still maturing!

I provide piano accompaniment for vocal lessons at no additional cost. I also make accompaniment recordings for the students to practice with. This allows me to transpose songs, letting students learn songs that might otherwise be out of their vocal range. It also allows for flexibility in the tempo so students can learn at a slower pace and increase speed as they become more comfortable.

I believe in teaching a well rounded curriculum and therefore introduce my students to the styles of all genres.

I am a 67 yo man who had studied music eons ago. I finally admitted that I missed it and decided to take lessons for the piano. Kit has been an exceptional instructor. She is very knowledgeable and talented. She teaches by guiding me along the way at my own pace. But is not adverse to correcting my errors. She also sends me home with advice on pitfalls to avoid in my practicing. She is patient, friendly, and makes learning very enjoyable. I highly recommend her for piano lessons to students of all ages. Thank you

Only a 1st lesson, but Kit is great with my Daughter. She had 2 months of piano lessons 4 years ago (when she was 8), but picked it up very quickly and was playing songs almost immediately with Kit as her instructor. The sign that it was a success is that upon returning home she went to the keyboard and wanted to practice what she had learned. Highly recommended.

I cannot speak highly enough about Kit! For my wedding, I wanted to surprise Ashleigh by singing a particular song. Not only had I never had singing lessons, but I also had zero confidence in my voice that I could pull this off. Kit is SO PATIENT! She took the time to tailor my lessons to help me learn the song, and weekly tips. She also went out of her way to work with my schedule, since my lessons had to be a secret since it was for a surprise.
When the night of our wedding came along, Kit's patience and teaching paid off- I was confident and comfortable, which made the experience memorable and fun!! It was a part of our wedding we will both always cherish. Thank you very much Kit!!!

He is respectful of our time and does what he says he's going to do. Can't ask for much more. We are looking forward to a summer of trombone lessons with him.

Shortly after my 37th birthday, I decided I wanted to learn to play piano. Although I hadn't touched a musical instrument in over 20 years and forgotten a vast majority of what I had learned as a child, Ruth was there to coach me through the process. She's incredibly knowledgeable about music, shown flexibility when I've had scheduling conflicts, and genuinely cares about my progress. She's been instrumental (pun intended!) in my musical journey and I can't say enough great things about her. Thank you, Ruth!

About Ted
Hello to my prospective future students!
My name is Ted and I teach in the Denver/Lakewood area. I've been playing cello for 10 years and have experience in almost everything performers are doing with the cello in the 21st century, including: Classical performance, recording, gigging, improvisation, looping and effects, and arranging cello performances of many pop songs.
I teach with a set curriculum in mind that bends to where my individual students' passions lie; no matter what your goal is with the cello, I believe l will be able to guide my students in achieving it.
The biggest factor that keeps me dedicated to the cello is how much fun I have playing it, and I do my best to create this passion in my students. Here is the closest thing to a mantra I can write:

Hard work and discipline (not to mention having fun) can cre
ate many opportunities for an inexperienced cellist. As a teacher, I to create the same passion for music in students that I have enjoyed and wrestled with throughout my career. I employ a similar teaching style to the best professors I have studied under, but also realize the relevance of the cello to modern music and therefore teach any genre on cello. The best reason to learn an instrument is so that you can eventually transcend it.

Below is a short biography:

Ted Leininger began playing cello after listening to a video game soundtrack that had a great cello part in it. After that, he never stopped. Starting as the last chair cellist, he was in an advanced orchestra group by his senior year of high school.

At Metro State University he studied under Charles Lee, the Principal cellist of the Boulder philharmonic. He thoroughly studied classical technique before transferring to UCDenver as a double major in Cello performance and Audio Engineering. He studies various types of music, pursuing genres like Jazz and Bluegrass in addition to Classical. He regularly performs with independent singer-songwriters and is actively gigging as a studio musician and band member.

About Kostadin
I was raised in a musical family in my home country of Bulgaria, where I attended a highly competitive full-time performing arts school from age 6. I was trained in the Russian school of violin playing and have found this to be a very successful method for my younger students in the United States. Another important pedagogical mentor for me is my viola teacher at Rice University, Ivo-Jan Van der Werff, who has developed a systematic approach to building technique fundamentals in advanced violists and violinists. I believe that studying music is very valuable for instilling self-motivation, discipline, and dedication for students of all ages. I was involved in the Mercury Orchestra's outreach partnership with YES Prep schools, which serve underprivileged communities in Houston. I was also a string specialist at the Village School in Housto
n, and my students there and in other public schools in the area excelled in the All-Region and All-State competitions.

About Bryon
I'm a fun loving, friendly and personable teacher who wants you to get the most out of your time and money. I encourage my students to practice daily and have fun while they sing. Sometimes the techniques you learn will require some silly activities that hopefully will make you laugh, but they can be invaluable for learning new skills and training your body to help you sing better. I think singing is an experiment with each student because no two people learn the same way, so I try to match my teaching style to your personality so you can learn more quickly. I hope you will give me a try and see how enjoyable and rewarding it can feel when you make great strides in your abilities and achievements in singing!

I teach basic singing techniques and vocal coaching, which includes breathing, posture and jaw position. We will work on voc
al exercises, breathing exercises and song style and interpretation. You will also learn performance stance, emotive expression and stage etiquette. Performance recitals are optional but a possibility. Learning proper vocal technique helps shape the quality of your voice and helps prevent vocal injury, often caused by poor posture, poor breath support and singing from the throat, which puts strain on the vocal cords, causing nodes. We will work to build singing endurance through stretching your breath capacity and singing for longer periods of time. Six lessons is required for learning the basic principles, while more lessons are needed for mastery of skills and learning a song well.

My experience is with classical art song, opera, oratorio and broadway musical repertoire. I have appeared in The Magic Flute (Mozart) and Die Fledermaus (Strauss) numerous times in various roles. Also I have been a soloist with orchestra, chamber ensemble, and piano. I have also sung the National Anthem for two professional sports teams, college teams and high school dozens of times. I have performed at the White House and Carnegie Hall in an ensemble and appeared as a soloist on television three times. I am currently studying to be a clinical psychology counselor and I immensely enjoy the personable interactions with my voice students.

Bryon has been a great help and voice teacher to me. He tailored the content of his lessons to my “run-and-gun” style of learning, giving me just the techniques and background that I needed, even though he is capable of giving me a complete formal training.
He helped me break through some blocks I have had in vocal technique and expressing the depth of my emotion in my singing. He helped me to project so much more than I could before, which so much less “effort.”
When I couldn’t get the techniques right, he kept coming up with new ways of demonstrating them or getting me to do them correctly.
Brian believes in his students and gives them his absolute best. He knows how to find you right where you are and lead you to where you need to go next in your talent/technique.
I have an audition coming up for The Voice, and I hope Brian will once again help me to get to the next level (quite literally) in my singing.
I can’t recommend him highly enough!

My name is Ryan and I offer private drum lessons.

Music, specifically drumming, is my passion. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to make a living performing & teaching drums. Watching a student work on a new song for months and finally get to the point where they are ready to perform it is a truly great feeling. Many of my students have been with me since they started playing drums, I feel very grateful to maintain such fantastic students.

Any time I have a show locally in Colorado, I often put one of my students & their family on the guest list and allow them to come backstage and see what it's like to perform on stage in front of a crowd. This offers the student an opportunity to see their teacher perform and a fun night for the family.

You can catch me performing locally with Grayson Erhard, Emma Mayes & the Hip,

As a classically trained violinist, I can offer you important music theory and technique knowledge that will carry you far. As a folk artist, I also know how to bend the rules when necessary and create something unexpected. I have been teaching for 8 years and my favorite part of lessons is when I learn something new from my students. I love making sure my students not only feel that they are getting a quality education by learning from me, but that they also feel that they can express themselves and that they have something new and unique to offer the world. The more I teach, the more I learn.
I know that taking lessons can be intimidating, so I make it my goal for every student to feel comfortable and have fun! My job is not to make you into an artist, but to give you the tools to introduce you to the artist you already are.
