I'm inspired to impart a vibrant love for the art of drumming to my students. I value giving students a strong foundation in the fundamentals of rhythm, technique and all styles of music, as well as exploring the individual and creative interests of each of my students.

I have degree in Music Education from CU Boulder (2012) with a special interest in jazz studies, improvisation and classical percussion. I also have thorough experience with traditional Indian spiritual music known as kirtan. I have taught middle school music in Denver public schools as well as privately for ages ranging 7-30. Studied with various professional musicians around Colorado, including Paul Romaine, Mike Marlier, Brad Goode, John Gunther and Doug Walter.

All in all, music is an art form meant for cultivating the human spirit and enriching life. My desire is to impart this gift to my students through the art form of drums, rhythm and creativity.

About Bryan

I see all music, and drumming specifically as a very special gift. They are art forms that bring greater value into our life, providing opportunity for growth, strength and resilience. And they're FUN! I have been playing drums in a variety of different areas for over 15 years throughout my yo

My first session with Dan was great! He asked a lot of questions to determine my level of experience/goals; then we dived right into the lesson. He’s also provided homework assigments that I’ve been able to work on straight away.

Dan is a really insightful instructor. He really knows Ableton in-and-out with his eyes closed. He also has a good ear and is able to help you get the sound that you want. He gives really good feedback on projects that you might be working on. He is really well-versed in all aspects of music production - not only in sound design and mixing but also in songwriting and also can talk about difficult topics like inspiration and creativity in a unique way. If you're serious about music production, I would certainly recommend taking lessons with Dan.

"Nick has given my kids lessons on drums, piano, and musical performance. (both online and in person). He has amazing levels of patience that are essential for kids and beginners. Critically, he's given my kids the mindset and the space to be creative and realize that they don't have to be virtuosos to start writing their own songs."

"Teri is a premier vocal coach. When I first came to her, I didn't know what I was doing; I knew I had some talent, but didn't know how to hone it. Teri was just the person I needed. A vocalist herself from the school of hard knocks, Teri's real life artist experiences give her unique insights into what makes a vocalist tick and how to discover and nurture one's artistry. She has an excellent ear and is a phenomenal teacher. Teri has an upbeat style; always positive and encouraging, but also honest and straightforward. Teri tells it like it is out of love for the art form and her students. She's a vocal coach extraordinaire, and I highly recommend her."

"Inspiring teacher

My kids have been taking music lesson from Jesse for several months and they love it. They love the setting in the studio with multiple musical instruments, so that they can get to play other instruments in duets with Jesse. As a parent, I appreciate Jesse's method in teaching young kids. Jesse seems to have music in his heart and his passion can be easily seen by his students. Jesse respects my kids' opinion, yet very disciplined with their attitude. My kids seem to start appreciating 'music' in addition to learning 'skills'."

"We are so thrilled that we found such an amazing piano teacher as Christina for our 12 year old son. I’ve observed Christian to be very patient and encouraging with him as he takes these beginner lessons. She has a gentle manner combined with level-appropriate expectations. Furthermore, Christina has been willing to work with us in regards to our schedule (we needed a teacher who could teach in our home) and our son just finished his fifth lesson and he loves it! Last but not least, he is excited to practice daily and looks forward to the next lesson."

He's always pleasant to be with and continues to be punctual. On the weeks where my work schedule affects our slot, he's been more than obliging in finding another appropriate slot. How Can I Tell if I'm Breathing Correctly?

It may seem silly to ask whether you're breathing correctly. After all, it's something we do subconsciously each and every day. But when it comes to singing, there actually is a right way to breathe. Here, Chesterfield, MO teacher Lauren V. explains how to check... As vocalists, we are taught to sing using good breath technique.  What does this look like?  If you've ever noticed an athlete breathe, generally you will see the chest and shoulders rise.  When singing, good technique allows th …
