As a beginner with zero experience playing any instruments, I am so grateful for Nabin's expertise, patience, and natural ability to instruct. Nabin makes it easy and fun to learn playing the tabla. He sets reasonable expectations, creates a fun and low-stress environment, and is lovely to work with! I look forward to continue working with him and would highly recommend him!

Basically, meeting the student's need in the exploration of Music. The 3 important elements in any Musical example are rhythm, harmony and melody. These core elements are present irregardless of the style whether it be traditional, contemporary or Jazz.Whatever genre the student chooses ,these elements are fundamentally present. My aim is not to necessarily channel them to become professional musicians ie practicing scales and technical exercises daily but to introduce them to lets say ----what is a chord, what melodic line fits nicely over that chord, what's----the meter? Is it in 2 ,3 or 4.etc.I also encourage my students to attend concerts, performed by children their age.Music is first an aural tradition.Listening and seeing others performed excites the musical journey.

Gerry's the best! He was so great with both of our boys. His lessons fostered a love of music in them that will last them a lifetime. He kept the lessons fun while making sure that they were learning and growing as musicians.

I don’t know where to start raving about this magnificent person. Gerry Rollock has been a colleague of mine since 2003. Having worked with him for many years in a performance setting, Gerry is a consummate musician able to play in many styles. He worked with my organization Music Teachers Collaborative (2003-2020) as an in-home piano instructor. Gerry was always on time, traveling to each home in a safe manner arriving with a fresh perspective for each individual student. And they all liked him! His gentle teaching manner is perfect for all ages. Hire him for your son, daughter or yourself and you will be very happy that you did. The results will be evident in the way you will enjoy playing the piano.

Gerry is the best piano teacher! He’s been teaching my kids for years. He has so much patience and a good sense of humor and makes piano fun and lighthearted, I whole heartedly recommend Gerry for piano lessons!

"Greg is a great guitar teacher. His love for guitar and for teaching guitar shines through every lesson. He drills down to specific goals that I have as a student, and draws on his vast resources and personal book of teaching materials to assign “homework” for the next lesson that will develop specific skills to achieve my goals.

He is patient, very kind, and flexible with scheduling as needed when unexpected things arise. I look forward to each week’s lesson to sharpen my skills and learn more."

"Adam’s superpowers as a guitar teacher are commitment and a calm demeanor. It was clear from my first lesson that Adam was singularly dedicated to my advancement even at times when my dedication wavered. I was able to successfully learn a Death Can for Cutie song that I had loved for years (I will follow you into the dark). Though i had taken lessons in the past, i felt i had the most chemistry with Adam’s thoughtful approach to teaching guitar. Our lessons were fun and laced with lighthearted humor. I moved to NYC and Adam was 100% committed to ensuring our lessons continued via Skype. Unfortunately the move was a big life change that refocused my priorities. I wish that Adam lived in NY so we could continue playing together!"
